The Berwyn Fire Company is proud to place into service a 2013 Seagrave Marauder II attack engine, designated as Engine 2-1. Engine 2-1 has a 6 man cab with a stainless steel body. It is powered by a 450 horse power Cummins motor and contains a 1,500 gallon per minute Hale pump.
Engine 2-1 is a combat ready first out suppression piece carrying over 1,000 feet of attack line, 1,000 feet of supply line and 750 gallons of water. This engine is Berwyn’s second ALS licensed engine and will rotate as the first out pumper with Engine 2-3.
Engine 2-1 sitting in it's new parking spot within the engine bay. This will be the first time Engine 2-1 will be the first due engine since the modern day apparatus numbering system began in the late 1960's.
