BERWYN, PA - May 18-24, 2025, marks the 51st annual National EMS Week. In 1974, President Gerald Ford authorized EMS Week to celebrate EMS practitioners and their important work in our nation's communities. This year's theme is 'We Care. For Everyone.'
The importance of having high-quality pre-hospital EMS care in the T-E community is central to the mission of the Berwyn Fire Company (BFC). BFC continues to work closely with elected officials and staff members in Tredyffrin and Easttown Townships to meet the community's needs and be able to adapt to operational challenges.
Between two stations, BFC operates (4) ambulances, (3) fire engines, and (2) fire/EMS command vehicles that are licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health. The career staff and volunteers of Berwyn, licensed as Paramedics, PHRNs, EMT and AEMTs, responded to over 2,450 EMS calls in 2024.
