FIRE/EMS Respond to Auto-Accident; 1 Flown

Station 2 FIRE/EMS were dispatched at 9:52am to Route 252 & W. Swedesford Rd for the auto-accident reported with possible entrapment

Amb./Medic 2-1 arrived on scene to find a two vehicle side impact collision.

The crew quickly cared for the driver of the vehicle who had numerous injuries. The
driver of the striking vehicle refused treatment at the scene.

The crews of Rescue 2 and Engine 2-1 assisted the EMS with patient care and hazard
control for debris and fluids on the roadway.

Engine 2-0 responded to the PECO Fleet Maintenance Facility just up the road from the
accident scene to secure a landing zone for PENNSTAR I aeromedical.

The victim was flown to a Philadelphia trauma center in stable condition.

All Station 2 units cleared the scene by 10:23 a.m.
