| Station 2 FIRE/EMS was dispatched for the auto-accident with a vehicle reported into the house in the 500 block of Cheswold Ct. Amb./Medic 2-1 arrived on scene and found a single passenger vehicle that had left the parking lot of Cheswold Village and had drove into a home. The EMS crew tended to the patient, while the crew from Rescue 2 assessed damage to the house to make sure no utilities were compromised and that the structure was safe. The lone occupant was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatering injuries. The driver was wearing their seatbelt, which prevented them from sustaining serious injury. This incident should remind us all, that know matter if you are driving in a parking lot or on a highway, that a seatbelt could save your life someday. This was one of 12 FIRE/EMS calls responded to by Station 2 personnel today. Command: Lt. 2B (Eamon Brazunas) |
