| Station 2 dispatched to the Jenkin's Arboretum on Berwyn Baptist Rd for wires down with a brush fire. Engine 2-2 arrived to find a large tree blocking the roadway with fire on a utility pole. Further investigation revealed two utility poles damaged, with a 10' X 10' area of brush on fire. Due to the power lines being 'live' PECO electric was contacted to shut down the power so firefighters could safely work. High winds caused the fire to rapidly grow to a 50' X 50' area. Once the power was shut down, crews quickly extinguished the fire. Units operated for just under 1.5 hours. Thankfully the fire did not enter the heart of the arboretum, which is filled with many trees and brush. DELCO Engine 41-3 (Newtown Square) relocated to Berwyn during the incident.
