| At 10:07am on Sunday September 9th, Berwyn Fire Company Ambulance was dispatched for an auto accident with unknown injuries at the intersection of Old Eagle School Road and East Swedesford Rd in Tredyffrin Township. Upon arriving on scene, the ambulance discovered that a patient was confined to the automobile and would require extrication due to the damage to the vehicle. Engine 2-2 and Tower 2 both responded and arrived quickly and under direction of Chief 2 (Norris) and Lieutenant 2A (Valocchi) removed the damaged door and extricated the patient from the car using the hydraulic rescue tools commonly referred to as "The Jaws of Life". Firefighters accomplished the extrication within 10 minutes of arrival on the scene. The patient was then transported to Paoli Hospital for treatment.
