The Berwyn Fire Company has placed a brand new 2012 Type III (box-style) ambulance into service. This week, the ambulance was stocked with the latest basic and advanced life support equipment in anticipation of its inspection from the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Soon after its inspection and subsequent licensure by the Department of Health, the new ambulance responded to its first emergency. We anticipate that this ambulance will respond to over 3,500 calls during the next few years of service.
Berwyn's new state-of-the-art ambulance.
All of Berwyn's EMS vehicles have reflective striping and LED lighting. These safety features keep our crews safe and also increases visibility for other drivers.
