Passing of Captain Chris Good of the Good Will Fire Company

It is with the deepest regret that we join our brothers and sisters from the West Chester Fire Department in mourning the loss of Captain Chris Good of the Good Will Fire Company. Captain Good passed away suddenly this week. Captain Good was one of the most respected company officers and firefighters in the region. His commitment to training and to his firefighters was unmatched. Chester County lost a great leader, fireman, father, husband, and son this week. Captain Good was well known to the members of Berwyn, always helping out with our trainings and anything else which came up. Rest easy Brother.

It is with deep regret the Good Will Fire Company and the West Chester Fire Department announces the passing of Captain Chris Good. Capt. Good passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at the age of 36. Capt. Good had responded to a house fire the previous afternoon in West Goshen Township and had then attended a fire department preplan activity just hours before his death.

Capt. Good served the Good Will Fire Company since 2002. Capt. Good had previously served as Captain and Lieutenant with the Lionville Fire Company. Capt. Good was well known throughout the Chester County emergency services community. Capt. Good was employed as a career fire fighter with the Arcelor Mittal Steel Fire Department.

Capt. Good is survived by his wife, Jessica Good, three children, Ryenn age 8, Ethan age 3 and Catherin age 1.
