Engine & Tower Respond to Radnor House Fire

The Radnor Fire Company, along with an Engine and Tower from the Berwyn Fire Company, was dispatched at 9:50 p.m. to the 200 block of S. Radnor Chester Rd. in Radnor Township for a house fire.

First arriving firefighters encountered heavy smoke showing from a 2 story single family home. Firefighters from Radnor and Berwyn worked together to extinguish the fire in less than a half hour.

The home was occupied at the time of the fire. However, all residents were able to escape safely. The home suffered significant smoke damage and the majority of the fire damage was contained to the basement.

Berwyn units were clear of the scene by 12 Midnight. There were no reported firefighter or civilian injuries. The Radnor Township Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
