Two Injured in Rt. 422 Crash

The Berwyn and King of Prussia fire companies were dispatched to Rt. 422 eastbound, just prior to the U.S. 202 Southbound/E. Swedesford Rd. ramps, in Tredyffrin Township for a motor vehicle collision reported with entrapment at 5:24 p.m.

First arriving units encountered a car carrier and two vehicles involved with a victim in need of extrication. The rescue crews from Berwyn and King of Prussia worked jointly to remove the driver from the automobile.

The extricated driver was transported by Berwyn EMS to Paoli Hospital, while a second driver was also transported to Paoli with minor injuries by Lafayette EMS. All units cleared the crash scene before 7 p.m. The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the cause of the collision.
