Head on Crash Injures Two in Easttown

EASTTOWN TWP., PA - Berwyn Fire Company EMS units were dispatched to the area of Newtown Road and Chandlee Drive for a reported motor vehicle collision at 5:54 a.m. A few minutes later, the Fire Company was dispatched due to information indicating a subject may be trapped.

First arriving units encountered a two vehicle crash with both drivers injured, but not trapped. Berwyn EMS tended to the injured, while the crew of Engine 2-2 dealt with fluids and debris in the roadway. Assistant Chief Matthew Norris coordinated resources on scene.

Both drivers were transported to Paoli Hospital by Berwyn EMS. All Berwyn units were clear of the scene by 7:30 a.m.

Sugartown Road was closed between Newtown Road and Leopard Road by Berwyn Fire Police and the Tredyffrin Township Police Department, while the Easttown Township Police Department conducted their investigation into the cause of the collision.
