The Radnor Fire Company was dispatched at 9:59 p.m. to the area of Willow Ave. and Plant Ave. for a vehicle fire in Radnor Township. The 9-1-1 information indicated a limo bus was on fire and that the driver and sole occupant had safely exited the vehicle.

First arriving Radnor units encountered a limo bus engulfed in flames that had extended to a nearby two story dwelling. Additional assistance was called from the Berwyn, Newtown Square, Broomall and Gladwyne fire companies to respond.

Fire crews worked to extinguish the fire that had extended into both floors of the residence and the attic space. The residence was broken down into two apartments. The residents in the 2nd floor apartment escaped safely after being alerted to the flames by a neighbor. The 1st floor unit was unoccupied at the time of the fire.

One firefighter was transported to Bryn Mawr Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. There were no reported civilian injuries.

The fire was declared under control at 11:09 p.m. All Berwyn units were clear of the scene around 12 Midnight. The Radnor Township Fire Marshal and Radnor Township Police Department investigated the cause of the fire, which started in the limo bus.
