The Paoli Fire Company was dispatched at 7:31 p.m. to the 2300 block of Pheasant Hill Lane in Tredyffrin Township for a house fire. The Chester County 9-1-1 Center reported that the initial 9-1-1 caller could see flames coming from the front side of the house across the street.

Based on additional 9-1-1 calls reporting the fire, full company assistance was requested from the Berwyn Fire Company and Malvern Fire Company at 7:38 p.m. First arriving firefighters encountered fire showing from the roof and attic of a large two story historic home.

Firefighters from the Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Company, East Whiteland Volunteer Fire Association and the Kimberton Fire Company also assisted on the scene. The fire was placed under control at 8:55 p.m. by Paoli Chief Ira Dutter. Fire crews remained on scene for several hours performing salvage and overhaul operations.

The Chester County Fire Marshal's Office investigated the cause of the fire per standard protocol. The home suffered significant fire and smoke damage. Fortunately, there was no reported firefighter injuries and the homeowners escaped safely.

Thank you to the Radnor Fire Company and West End EMS (Phoenixville) for covering the Berwyn fire station during the incident.
