3 Injured in Rush Hour Collision

The Berwyn Fire Company was dispatched around 4:30 p.m. to the 900 block of W. Swedesford Road in Tredyffrin Township for a motor vehicle collision with entrapment.

Fire/EMS personnel arrived to find a multi-vehicle collision with subjects trapped in two cars. The crews of Engine 2-1 and Engine 2-2 utilized their rescue tools to remove the driver's side door of both vehicles so the victims could be safely extricated.

Berwyn Ambulance 2-3 and 2-2 transported one patient each, while Paoli Ambulance 3 transported one to Paoli Hospital. Firefighters remained on location until the scene was cleaned up by Door's Exxon Towing.

All units were clear of the scene by 5:30 p.m. The Tredyffrin Township Police Department was also on location and provided traffic control and investigated the cause of the collision.
