Earlier this month, and for two more weekends this summer, volunteers and career staff of Berwyn Fire Company and several other area departments will be working to achieve their NFPA Vehicle and Machinery Rescue certification. It is several classes that go into some of the more advanced rescue tactics involving school busses, industrial machinery, and other advanced scenarios involving vehicles and such that travel through our region each and every day.

This is just one of the several specialty rescue certifications that members of Berwyn have undertaken in recent years in order to provide the most comprehensive capabilities for our residents. Other specialties that members at Berwyn have undertaken include Water Rescue and Confined Space Rescue.
