The Norristown Fire Department (Station 27) was dispatched for a structure fire at 2:37 p.m. Numerous calls to 9-1-1 reported heavy smoke coming from the roof of a large building.

First arriving units arrived to find heavy fire showing from a vacant one and two story warehouse.

Engine 2-3 was dispatched at 6:36 p.m to assist with manpower at the now 3+ alarm fire. The crew returned to Berwyn around 9 p.m., but then responded back to the scene with Tower 2.

The Tower crew utilized their elevated master water stream to douse hot spots in the partially collapsed building for a couple hours before returning to Berwyn around 12 midnight.

The firefighters from Berwyn worked closely with the LaMott Fire Company, Montgomery County-Station 2, during the incident
