The Tredyffrin Township Police Department is investigating a two-vehicle (both single-occupant) accident that resulted in the death of one of the vehicle operators.

At 0256 Hours on the morning of August 21, 2016 on State Highway Route 202 Northbound at the Paoli Exit, a 2008 Ford Fusion left the travel portion of the roadway and struck the roadway barrier on the right side of the road at the Paoli Exit, then became disabled partially in the center lane of the three-lane highway.

After the Ford Fusion came to rest, a 2007 Chevrolet Impala struck the disabled Ford Fusion. The operator of the Ford Fusion, Qwan K. Lewis of Hatfield Pa. was killed on impact. The operator of the Chevrolet Impala was treated for minor injuries.

Traffic on Route 202 Northbound was detoured for approximately five hours during this investigation.

Members of the Tredyffrin Township Police Department Patrol Division, Traffic Safety Unit, Detective Unit along with the Chester County Coroner and the Berwyn Fire Company investigated this accident.
