Just after lunchtime today, Berwyn EMS and Rescue units were dispatched to Route 202 in the area of Devon Park Drive for a motor vehicle collision. Units responded in under 2 minutes and arrived to find a pick-up truck overturned with the driver trapped inside. The crew of Ambulance 2-1 began immediate assessment and treatment of the patient while the crew of Engine 2-2, Ambulance 2-2 and Tower 2 stabilized the vehicle and created a pathway for patient removal. The driver was extricated in under ten minutes.

The single patient was transported to a local trauma center for further evaluation and treatment. All fire/EMS units cleared the incident scene before 2:00 p.m.

Thanks to the Tredyffrin Township Police Department for the assist and keeping our personnel safe on the highway while we operated in difficult section of Route 202.
