The Berwyn Fire Company was dispatched at 12:55 p.m. to a motor vehicle collision on Rt. 202 Southbound in the area of Chesterbrook Blvd. in Tredyffrin Township. The crash was reported by the Pennsylvania State Police who indicated a vehicle had gone off the roadway following a police pursuit.

Berwyn Medical Director Ed Dickinson arrived on location to find a single car off the roadway down an embankment. The crew of Engine 2-2 cut part of a chain link fence to access the injured subject.

Berwyn EMS transported the sole occupant of the vehicle to Paoli Hospital with serious injuries. All fire/EMS units were clear of the scene prior to 1:45 p.m.

The Tredyffrin Twp. Police Dept. was on location assisting with traffic control and the investigation. Fortunately no law enforcement or civilians were injured during this incident.
