BERWYN, PA - On Wednesday, August 9th, Berwyn first responders descended upon the Upper Main Line YMCA in Berwyn for the 15th Annual UMLY Emergency Services Day.

This event brought together fire/EMS organizations, police officers, and emergency management officials to one of the most popular summer camps in the area. Over 250 campers enjoyed a live vehicle rescue demonstration, learned how to use a fire extinguisher, and participated in other fun activities. This was a great opportunity for children to learn about emergency services in their community.

Thank you to the volunteers and staff of the Paoli Fire Company, Radnor Fire Company, Malvern Fire Company, East Whiteland Fire Company, Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Co., Newtown Square Fire Company, Westwood Fire Company, PENNSTAR, Tredyffrin Township Police Department, Easttown Township Police Department, Pennsylvania State Police, Chester County Department of Emergency Services Communications Unit and the Chester County Hazardous Materials Team for making this a successful event.

Special thanks to Tom Door's Exxon of Berwyn for donating two cars for the vehicle rescue demonstration and to Berwyn Pizza for providing delicious food.

We look forward to the 16th!!!
