BERWYN, PA - This past week saw the safe return home of Berwyn Captain Evan Brazunas and Firefighter/EMR Mary Ellen Toscani Cleary from their deployment with Team Rubicon in the Texas region devastated by Hurricane Harvey. Evan and Mary Ellen performed damage assessment in large portions of Harris County, Texas. This helped to assist Team Rubicon and FEMA with identifying what the continued needs are of homeowners in the disaster zone. They also assisted with the movement of supplies for the overall disaster relief operation.

This weekend, Berwyn Firefighter John 'Jack' Zabinski and Valley Forge Firefighter Lorenzo Gianandrea departed from JFK Airport in New York to head to Texas with Team Rubicon to lend their help. Jack and Lorenzo will be assisting with the disaster relief and recovery operation that encompasses a vast area in Texas.

Best of luck to Jack and Lorenzo as they continue to show the momentum ongoing disaster relief effort in Texas. Team Rubicon unites the skills and experiences of military veterans with first responders to rapidly deploy emergency response teams.
