BERWYN, PA - The Berwyn Fire Company monthly report was presented to the Tredyffrin Township Board of Supervisors at their public meeting by Fire Chief Eamon Brazunas on Monday, January 22nd.

With the December 2017 statistics included, Berwyn fire/EMS volunteers and staff responded to 480 fire calls and 1,293 EMS calls in Tredyffrin Township for the year. In addition, 287 fire calls and 685 EMS calls in Easttown Township were handled. Mutual aid assistance was provided to surrounding municipalities in the amount of 119 fire calls and 148 EMS calls for the year.

The average fire response time (first fire truck arriving on location from dispatch) was 7 minutes and 40 seconds for the year. This represented a 30 second improvement versus the response time from 2016. This includes all fire responses both handled in emergency and non-emergency mode in Tredyffrin, Easttown, and other municipalities. There was also a 13% decrease in total false alarms and incidents classified as false for the year.

Thank you to all of our fire/EMS mutual aid partners and the Officers at Tredyffrin Township Police Department and Easttown Township Police Department for their assistance during another busy year.
