TREDYFFRIN TWP. - On Sunday, January 28th at 2:32 p.m., Berwyn units were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision in the 1200 block of Westlakes Dr. in Tredyffrin Township. The initial 9-1-1 caller reported that a car had left the roadway while traveling northbound on Rt. 202 and then crashed into a wooded area.

Fire/EMS personnel arrived to find a single car crash to the rear of the Westlakes complex adjacent to Rt. 202. The lone driver was able to free themselves, but was seriously injured. Responders worked quickly to care for the driver and get them loaded into the ambulance.

The driver was transported by Berwyn Ambulance to Paoli Hospital, while firefighters remained on location to assist with clean-up. The Tredyffrin Township Police Department performed scene control and investigated.

All units cleared the incident scene by 3:30 p.m. Thank you to the numerous Good Samaritans who pulled over to lend a hand after witnessing this crash.
