For weekly drill this evening, Berwyn firefighters and EMS personnel are reviewing ropes and rigging techniques. This involves tying knots, coordination of raising and lowering a rescuer, and ensuring communications are in sync.

It is important that a solid plan is in place when conducting these types of evolutions that can be precarious to say the least depending on the situation. This type of drill emphasizes the need to be ready for various types of emergencies first responders can face in the T-E community.
