Last night at 10:09 p.m., Berwyn fire/EMS personnel were called out to Route 202 Northbound between Valley Forge Rd. and W. Swedesford Rd. in Tredyffrin Township for a motor vehicle collision.

First responders arrived to find a single car that had struck the right shoulder barrier and then crossed all lanes of traffic striking the center barrier. Two subjects in the vehicle had self-extricated themselves and were on the side of the roadway.

Both the driver and passenger were transported via Berwyn Ambulance to Paoli Hospital with injuries. Firefighters provided scene safety by closing two lanes of traffic in the immediate area so the patients could be treated and loaded into the ambulances. The Tredyffrin Township Police Department investigated the cause of the collision and assisted with patient care.

All emergency vehicles cleared the highway before 11 p.m. As a reminder, please slow down and move over if you can when you see emergency vehicles operating on a roadway.
