BERWYN, PA - This past month, Berwyn rescuers refreshed their water rescue skills as part of our specialized rescue training program.

As we get into the spring and summer months the likelihood of flash flooding increases. Water rescue related incidents pose significant challenges and risks to first responders and this type of preparation ensures our personnel can respond in a competent manner.

Waterways in Tredyffrin Township and Easttown Township such as Trout Creek, Valley Creek, Darby Creek, along with Leopard Lake are just a few examples of why we ensure readiness for these types of emergencies.

Berwyn Fire/EMS follows best practices and guidance set forth by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission under the Water Rescue Program. To learn more about this program you can visit their website at http://www.fishandboat.com/…/Pennsylvani…/Pages/default.aspx

Thank you to the staff at Malvern Preparatory School for allowing us to utilize your facility to complete this training session. We greatly appreciate it!
