BERWYN, PA - The members of Berwyn Fire Company continue to send our thoughts and prayers to the Fritz Family following the passing of William "Bill" H. Fritz, III, 89, on March 25, 2018. Mr. Fritz was the owner of William H. Fritz Lumber Company that served thousands of families over its 153 year history in the Tredyffrin Township and Easttown Township community.

Mr. Fritz was named as a Honorary Fire Chief in recognition of his family's support of the fire company mission over the years. In the early beginnings of the fire company, workers from Fritz Lumber would run to the firehouse to answer the call for help as volunteers. This tradition would continue for many years as the core of fire company members worked in and around the Village of Berwyn.

Below are pictures from the special event held at Fritz Lumber on Saturday, October 22, 2016 to celebrate the Fritz Family and their contributions to the community as the business closed its doors for the final time. This was a memorable moment for our members who got to thank Mr. Fritz and his family for their support.
