BERWYN, PA - As of November 16, 2018, the Berwyn Fire Company is one of only 39 organizations in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania at the Gold or 100% level in the Pennsylvania Office of the State Fire Commissioner Participating Department Recognition Program.

The program provides Commonwealth emergency responders an opportunity to participate in and be recognized as a certified fire professional at various levels in accordance with nationally recognized and sanctioned Professional Qualification standards. The purpose is to recognize those organizations that support, promote, and encourage their emergency response personnel to voluntarily certify within the Commonwealth’s Certification Program administered by the Office of the State Fire Commissioner.

The volunteers and career staff of the Berwyn Fire Company take great pride in being a part of this program. Training is a key component of the organizational culture aimed at providing high quality emergency services to the Tredyffrin Township and Easttown Township community.
