BERWYN, PA - The 2019 EMS Fund Drive is underway! A mailer has been sent out to residents and businesses throughout the Tredyffrin/Easttown community asking for your support of our EMS program that is there for you 24 hours a day, everyday. This year, as you develop your personal budget, we respectfully ask that you consider supporting the Berwyn Fire Company with a monetary donation.

Your tax-deductible donation goes directly towards the cost of providing ambulance and emergency services that you, your family, or neighbors may need when calling 9-1-1. Over 3,000 emergency calls are answered annually in T-E by Berwyn Fire Company.

As Berwyn Fire Company faces ongoing income challenges, we have been working diligently over the last decade to keep our service at an exceptional level. We anticipate ambulance call volume to continue to increase due to the growing patient capacity at the substance abuse rehabilitation facility, Recovery Centers of America in Easttown, as well as the opening of Brightview Senior Living in Tredyffrin.

Due to decades of development, increased costs with mostly flat revenues, challenges in insurance billing, and a decline in volunteerism, we rely more heavily on paid staffing. This guaranteed staffing model is important, but also comes at a significant cost to our operating budget and long term sustainability. We believe it is important that you understand our financial needs and ongoing initiatives so that you can make informed decisions related to making donations.

Should you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us. We have a wealth of information available on our website and social media pages. Please help us continue to provide top notch medical care by donating what you can to support the Berwyn Fire Company.
