2 Injured in Berwyn Baptist Rd. Crash

BERWYN, PA - On Thursday, August 8th at 7:31 p.m., fire and emergency medical services from the Berwyn Fire Company were dispatched to the area of Berwyn Baptist Rd. and Castlewood Dr. in Tredyffrin Township for a motor vehicle collision.

The initial 9-1-1 callers to the Chester County Department of Emergency Services indicated a head on crash with unknown extent of injuries. Prior to this incident dispatch, a Berwyn ambulance was handling a medical call on Highland Ave. in Easttown Township.

First arriving rescuers arrived to find two-vehicles that had collided with both drivers injured. EMS crews treated the injured as firefighters controlled leaking vehicle fluids and cleared debris from the roadway.

Both drivers of their respective vehicles were transported by Berwyn ambulance to Paoli Hospital. All units were clear of the scene and the road reopened by 8:45 p.m.

The Tredyffrin Township Police Department provided traffic control and investigated the cause of the collision. Berwyn Baptist Rd. was closed between Castlewood Dr. and Brighton Rd. during the incident.
