BERWYN, PA - The volunteers and career staff of the Berwyn Fire Company responded to 11 calls in a 14-hour period on Sunday, March 8th.

During this time 3 motor vehicle collisions occurred between Rt. 202, the 1200 block of Lancaster Ave., and at the intersection of Conestoga Rd. and Cassatt Ave. in Tredyffrin Township. A total of 4 patients were transported to Paoli Hospital under basic life support care, 1 patient with advanced life support care, and 4 were evaluated on scene but did not require transport to the hospital. The Paoli Fire Company assisted with an ambulance at the Rt. 202 crash and Radnor Fire Company did the same at the Conestoga Rd. and Cassatt Ave. incident.

Firefighters investigated a gas leak inside a home on Knox Ave. in Easttown and also extinguished a brush fire on Spoonwood Circle off of Contention Ln. in Tredyffrin. The Rapid Intervention Team was called out to assist the Phoenixville Fire Department with a house fire as fire/EMS crews were in the midst of dealing with the Conestoga Rd. and Cassatt Ave. crash.

EMS crews also responded to calls two calls in Chesterbrook, one in Gateway Shopping Center, and provided mutual aid to Radnor Fire Company with a subject requiring advanced life support.
