BERWYN, PA - Berwyn Fire Company fire/EMS crews have kept busy with the high winds and rain today with a total of 15 calls dispatched in the last 20 hours. There have been 9 overlapping call situations, with 7 calls occurring in Tredyffrin and 8 in Easttown.

The Tredyffrin and Easttown Township Public Works Departments are working to remove debris on roadways as quickly and safely as possible. However, until PECO can de-energize power lines that are entangled in trees they can't be moved. You can anticipate based on the volume of issues in the region that it will take several hours or more to get your power turned back on.

If you see caution tape, road barricades and/or flares blocking a roadway or area, DO NOT move or go past these items. Always keep yourself at least 10 feet from downed power lines. Even though you may notice a covering on a line, NEVER assume it is safe to touch. Stay Away, Stay Alive!

Thank you to the Tredyffrin Township Police Department, Easttown Township Police Department, Tredyffrin and Easttown Public Works Departments and Paoli Fire Company for their assistance today.
