After a brief break, firefighters were alerted to the 400 block of Waynesbrooke Rd. in Easttown for a house fire at 12:28 p.m. Mutual aid from the Paoli Fire Company and Newtown Square Fire Company was also requested to the scene. The crew of Berwyn Engine 2-3 arrived within 5 minutes of dispatch to find a small kitchen fire that had caused a smoke condition in the home. The scene was cleared in less than 30 minutes after removing smoke from the home with a high powered fan.

As firefighters were wrapping up from the Waynesbrooke Rd. fire call, Berwyn was requested for an engine to assist the Newtown Square Fire Company with a house fire in the 100 block of Bryn Mawr Ave. in Newtown Township, Delaware County at 12:54 p.m. The crew of Engine 2-3 assisted with various tasks and cleared the scene by 3 p.m.
