BERWYN, PA - Despite the heatwave last week, Berwyn Fire Company firefighters headed out to the West Chester Fire Department Training Center for the 3Q structural burn training session of the year.

Firefighters practiced 2nd floor fire evolutions that focused on hoseline management, search patterns, scene size-up and crew communication. A group of our newer volunteers also worked on fire hydrant setup and ground ladder placement.

An EMS crew was on standby and provided health monitoring and much needed water during the training.

Special thanks to the Radnor Fire Company who relocated a crew with Quint 15 to our main station, in the Village of Berwyn, to ensure coverage for fire emergencies, while most of our personnel were committed at the training.
