Firefighters Tackle Basement Fire at McDonald's in Tredyffrin Twp.

BERWYN, PA - On Saturday, August 21st at 1:31 p.m., the Berwyn Fire Company was dispatched to the McDonald’s in the 200 block of W. Swedesford Rd. in Tredyffrin Township for a building fire. Automatic mutual aid from the Paoli Fire Company, Malvern Fire Company, Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Co. and Upper Merion Township Fire & EMS was also requested on the initial response.

The crew of Berwyn Engine 2-1 and Chief 2 arrived on location with smoke showing and all employees and patrons evacuated. The Tredyffrin Township Police Department also confirmed all occupants were safely out of the building.

Firefighters worked together and extinguished a basement fire. Smoke was removed from the building using several fans. The business is closed until further notice and the cause of the fire is accidental. No first responder injuries reported.
