BERWYN, PA - Late this afternoon at 4:59 p.m., the Berwyn Fire Company was dispatched for a brush fire in the 600 block of Bair Rd. in Tredyffrin Township.

First arriving units encountered a brush fire in the woods along Bair Rd. between Mount View Rd. and Keller Rd. Due to vehicle accessibility challenges, Berwyn ATV 2 was utilized to extinguish the fire. This unit holds 70 gallons of water, a fire pump and some firefighting hand tools.

The fire was caused by a power line arcing and sparking up against a tree. PECO was called to the scene to check the power line.
All apparatus and personnel were available by 5:35 p.m.
