15 Calls Responded to in T-E Community, Building Fire Assist to Paoli |

BERWYN, PA - Berwyn first responders have responded to numerous calls this week, including (15) calls in the T-E community between Wednesday, October 5th at 4:22 a.m. through Thursday, October 6th at 12:29 p.m. Firefighters responded to (2) gas related emergencies in Tredyffrin during this timeframe, including a significant leak along Gulph Road between Richards Road and Worthington Road. PECO responded promptly and was able to control the leak, which also involved a severed electrical line. Fire/EMS crews also rescued a subject who had fallen into a pool service pit on Clovelly Lane in Easttown. As this incident was occurring, another ambulance was dealing with a medical call at Devon Senior Living. After handling (10) calls on Wednesday, firefighters were dispatched at 1 a.m. Thursday for a fire alarm activation at a residence in the Mountainview section of Chesterbrook. As the crew of Engine 2-3 was investigating, another call was alerted at 1:14 a.m. for Berwyn to assist Paoli Fire Company with an Engine with a building fire along Lancaster Avenue in Paoli. Fortunately, the alarm was just caused by burnt food and Engine 2-3 was able to head to the fire. Once on scene, the crew established a water supply by connecting to a nearby fire hydrant. After this was completed, they assisted with fire suppression and other duties.
