BERWYN, PA - The Berwyn Fire Company was dispatched at 9:21 a.m. for an injured person in the area of 200 Musket Ln. in the Green Hills section of Chesterbrook in Tredyffrin Township. The 9-1-1 caller reported that a worker had cut their leg with a chainsaw.

Berwyn MICU 102 responded from the new substation located at 1485 Valley Forge Rd. and was quickly on scene. Berwyn ATV 2 was requested to respond due to the patient being in a wooded muddy area downhill from the roadway.

The patient was safely packaged and moved to the awaiting ambulance by Berwyn responders, along with assistance from the Tredyffrin Township Police Department. They were then transported to Paoli Hospital in stable condition.

This was another great example of the effectiveness of the ATV in reducing total incident time to get a patient treated faster at the hospital.
