BERWYN, PA - The Berwyn Fire Company had a busy Tuesday handling 21 calls for service in the Tredyffrin-Easttown community.

This included several medicals calls, fire incidents and responses related to the smoky/hazy conditions that were caused by the Canadian wildfires.

The Paoli Fire Company provided mutual aid at a dumpster fire in the 1000 block of Waterloo Rd. in Easttown Township. This call was originally dispatched at 12:58 p.m. in the Paoli primary area of the Township and was later changed to the Berwyn primary area at 1:06 p.m. The crews of Paoli Engine 3-5 and Berwyn Engine 2-3 worked together to extinguish a fire in a large dumpster near a residence.

Not long after this incident, Berwyn EMS provided mutual aid at 2:17 p.m. to the Paoli Fire Company for a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Rt. 30 and Rt. 252 in Tredyffrin Township.

While responding to a variety of incidents throughout the day, a group of volunteers and career staff were also assigned to standby with two ambulances and support vehicles at the Conestoga High School for their Class of 2023 Graduation.
