| The Berwyn Fire Company attended various July 4th celebrations in the Tredyffrin-Easttown community. The day started off with Engine 2-3 headlining the annual Homestead Road Bike Parade in Devon. After the race was complete, the kids got to check out the Engine and shoot water from one of the hoses.
Later that morning Engine 2-3 and Berwyn's Fire Police crews assisted with the Easttown Township Community Picnic & Bike Parade. Fire Police crews with Traffic 2 closed the parade route and Engine 2-3 led the parade that began and ended in Johnson Park at the end of Bridge Ave. The event ends every year with the engine soaking the kids down with the water from the truck.
Berwyn's crews were out in force again in the evening for Tredyffrin Township's fireworks at Wilson Farm Park. With Fire & EMS Crews strategically placed in and around the park for safety, some of our Business members were in the center of the park staffing tables selling pretzels and water.
Over $1300 was raised by the concession sales! A big thank you to the community for the continued support. |
