Station 2 FIRE/EMS were dispatched to the intersection of Manchester Ct. & Lancaster Ave. for the auto-accident with entrapment in front of the Nectar Restaurant.
Amb./Medic 2-1 arrived on scene with a 2 vehicle accident with an occupant trapped in an SUV after it had flipped over onto its side.
Rescue 2 performed a roof removal and popped out the moon roof to extricate the patient safely by utilizing the Jaws of Life. The extrication of the lone occupant was complete in 19 minutes.
The patient was then flown by PENNSTAR Aeromedical to a Philadelphia trauma center with multiple injuries. All other patients were uninjured and refused transport.
