| Fire & EMS units were dispatched to the intersection of Lancaster Ave & Berwyn-Paoli Rd in Berwyn for an auto accident with entrapment.
Amb. 2-1 arrived on scene to find a two vehicle head-on collision with an occupant trapped. Engine 2-2 removed the passenger side door to gain access to the patient with the Hurst Combination tool, while Rescue 2 secured a landing zone for PENNSTAR II aeromedical behind the T-E School District Building.
The crew of Engine 2-2 provided hazard control for the leaking fluids from both vehicles and assisted EMS with patient care.
Amb./Medic 2-1 transported the extricated subject to the LZ, while Amb. 3 (Paoli) transported a BLS patient to Paoli Memorial Hospital.
