The Berwyn Fire Company was dispatched, shortly before midnight, to the 1300 block of Lancaster Ave. in Tredyffrin Township for a motor vehicle collision with entrapment.
First arriving units found a SUV that had flipped onto its side and struck a telephone pole. The driver was safely extricated from the wreckage through the moon roof of the vehicle.
The driver was transported to Paoli Hospital by Berwyn Ambulance for observation and released a short time later. The driver was wearing their seatbelt, which undoubtedly saved them from serious injury.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Tredyffrin Township Police Department. All Berwyn units were clear of the scene before 1 a.m.
