BERWYN, PA – The Berwyn Fire Company is once again partnering with Conestoga High School as a sponsor of the Senior Internship Program. This unique program is a cooperative effort among students, parents, staff and community members to introduce students to the process involved in becoming a part of the world outside of school.

Among the 4 students interning at the fire company, there are 3 that currently serve in volunteer fire and EMS roles at the Berwyn Fire Company. Although it is not a requirement to be a member at the fire company to intern, it is an added bonus to have the extra personnel on hand to respond to emergencies. Each of the students involved will be attending college to continue their academic journey for the 2019-2020 school year.

While responding to fire and EMS calls in the Tredyffrin-Easttown community is the more exciting part of the internship, the students help with cleaning the firehouse, checking equipment, and assisting with administrative duties. Best wishes to the interns as they near completion of the program next week and graduate on June 5th.
