BERWYN, PA - The Berwyn Fire Company was dispatched on Friday, July 26th at 2:55 p.m. to the 100 block of N. Waterloo Rd. in the Devon section of Easttown Township for a motor vehicle collision. The initial 9-1-1 caller reported that a car had driven off the roadway and struck a house.

Berwyn EMS arrived on location with a heavily damaged car in the backyard of a residence, along with the driver and lone occupant being injured. The driver was subsequently transported by ambulance to Paoli Hospital.

Firefighters with Berwyn Engine 2-2 assisted with patient care and checked the home for any structural damage. PECO was called to respond since the home electrical service line had been struck during the crash.

The incident scene was cleared by 4 p.m. The Easttown Township Police Department investigated the cause of the collision.
