BERWYN, PA - Berwyn Fire Company crews were up early today responding to 6 fire/EMS calls between 4:41 a.m. and 10:17 a.m.

As an EMS crew was returning from a medical call on West Valley Rd. in Tredyffrin Township, Berwyn was requested at 5:40 a.m. to assist Upper Merion Township Fire & EMS at a hazardous materials incident involving fire on River Rd. in Upper Merion Township. The crew of Engine 2-1, based out of the substation, stood by for about an hour before going available.

A commercial fire alarm activation on Westlakes Dr. and one at Whole Foods Market — Devon Store were handled by emergency personnel, along with two other medical calls in Tredyffrin Township.
