TREDYFFRIN TWP., PA - The Berwyn Fire Company was dispatched at 11:16 a.m. to the rear of the Gateway Shopping Center in the 200 block of E. Swedesford Rd. for a trash truck on fire.

The crews of Engine 2-1, Engine 2-2, and Ambulance 2-1 worked to extinguish the fire and to ensure it did not cause any damage to the nearby building. Assistant Chief Matthew Valocchi placed the fire under control at 11:35 a.m.

The Tredyffrin Township Police Department shut down the rear access to the shopping center so firefighters could safely operate.
